2. Your telegram No. 709. I should be grateful for guidance regarding treatment of Chinese Civil Servants on the following:-
(a) When paying back salaries, are Civil Servants entitled to high cost of living and lodging allowances, after December?
(b) What is the position regarding Widows and Orphans Pensions Contribution Fund? Will this be refunded if he obtains other employment or if he receives an award for abolition of office.
3.
Are all Chinese offices regarded as having been abolished? If so please inform me for the purpose of formal notification.
(a) From what date is notice of termination of employment operative.
(b) Is any distinction made between officers on
permanent pensionable basis, and others.
4. Your telegram No.470. I shall send you by bag preliminary list of names and details of service of officers who have registered to date.
